Rick

Drop me a line. I did 21 in 2000 and am repeating 7-19. I can give you
some good details. It is easier to answer specific concerns than to
generalize.

No one yet has discussed Trek 21. I also am new to Philmont experience
but can't wait after almost a year of training. I would like to maximize
the boys' experience. What I have heard about the burros, shoes, spirit,
and other things has helped tremendously in our preparation. What advice
do the list members offer about the trek trails themselves? Hiking
routes, not-to-miss scenery, water surprises etc. We have both Baldy and
the Tooth of Time.

Thanks for your thoughts
