David,
Our crew is strongly considering doing a round-a-bout-headed-to-somewhere-else
program pass-through at Miner's Park from the Crater Lake area in order to get a
double-dip on the climbing/rappelling thing. That's our troop's most repeated
activity during the year; so, our guys are jumping at the chance to "hang five"
twice. (We'll be heading up to Black Mountain Camp to shoot once we leave Miners.
We're hoping, hoping, hoping that Conservation has cleared out most of the deadfall
that we saw back in 2000 blocking the North Fork Uracca Trail.)
I know '93 was a century ago; but can you remember when you left Crater and when
you arrived at Miners, or, if not those details, the amount of time it took to hike
it? Second, and most important of all, were/are there one or two climbing sessions
in the morning at Miner's Park? What time(s)?
If anyone else out there is a Miner's Park expert, chime in.
