In 2000, I had a crew that liked to get up early.
We got up to see the sunrise at Crater Lake and left camp about 7:00. We
got into Miner's Park about 8:00. After 9 days on the trail, it was an easy
easy downhill hike. The staff at Miner's Park wasn't ready for us, and we
had to wait awhile before we went up to Betty's Bra to climb. The trek to
Betty's Bra took about 20 minutes. We left our packs at Miner's Park, and
came back for them, eat hot lunch and filled our water bottles for a night
on Shafer's Pass. We got back to Miner's Park from our Climb about 11:30.
(I kept track of Hiking times).
There was a bear line on the trail between Miner's Park and North Fork
Uracca, where the trail to Betty's Bra branched off, where you could have
dropped packs, instead of returning to Miner's Park.
Crater Lake is one of the prettiest camps and Miner's Park is one of the
flattest.

sessions
