Let me try and answer your questions. If you have already sent in your trek selections to Philmont, the problem is out of your hands. What you get from Philmont is what you will take. The best thing you can do now is to take monthly shakedown hikes. Pr

Now pack weight. First of all, keep your pack weight down before adding food and crew gear. My good friend Dr. Bob Klein weighs every article of personal gear that each crew member is planning to bring and if it weighs too much, he tells them it isn't go
