For years, I used a fleece jacket as a pillow. I recently bought one of
those light weight foam pillows with a soft cover and air pocket you can
inflate to fit your needs. This little pillow changed my opinion right away.
It is softer and smoother than a jacket which can lump up during the night.
The pillow is inexpensive, weighs next to nothing and compresses easily into
the stuff sack with your sleeping bag.
