Re: [Philmont]: Need Help! Water Bottles!

First, please stop sending multipart email. Plain text is sufficient.

As for water bottles, each Scout needs two wide-mouth quart/liter bottles,
and the ability to carry two liters more. I like the collapsible
platypus/camelbak bottles that take up little space when empty. I take my
regular bottles, but then I never put anything but water in them. I would
think a trip through the dishwasher would remove smells, but am not sure.

The nice thing about the platypus/camelbak systems is the ability to
constantly sip while hiking. This provides better hydration than the
occasional "stop and guzzle" method. I don't use them, but people I respect
swear by them.
