RE: [Philmont] - Links (Menu)

At our last crew meeting, I distributed copies of the menu. I'm afraid that
even I had a hard time being enthusiastic when I pointed out that the
demands of a trek sometimes require odd combinations of food to ensure the
large amount of carbs.

I spoke with Pat at the Philmont Commissary and it looks like each 2-portion
package weighs just over a pound. I am still attempting to get a solid
handle on the amount of water necessary for each meal. What was said is that
each meal contains at least one extra item when compared to last year. This
was in response to crew comments of too little food.
