Of course, once you get the food, you can eat it any order you want.....

Ed,

Much like the regular, full length treks, short treks get the food that
the commissary provides them with. Philmont has a set food rotation
that is implemented at every commissary on the ranch, so that you don't
get the same meal twice. However, sometimes at the very end of the
summer the backcountry commissaries will run low on food, so they may
need to go out of rotation slighty. But for the most part, you should
stay on the same rotation, you just won't get the last few days of the
rotation. Note that the rotation DOES NOT always start at meal one on
day one, then meal two and day two, etc. You'll understand how it works
once you get out there.

So to sum up my point. No, you do not get to pick and choose your
meals.
