In 2000 we did Trek 18. One of our adults is an avid fisherman and loved
the trek. He fished five days, even in streams that couldn't of had fish in
them.
He taught several of the scouts how to fly fish.
They had a good time. Several of the other scouts got bored on the
afternoons where we didn't do much but fish.
He is going back with a different crew this summer and they are taking the
same trek. He can't wait.
How many fish did he catch? Two or three a day, the three days he fished
Rayado River.
Fishing is catch and release. One of my best memories from 1967 is visiting
Fish Camp on day 8 and catch 6 trout in the afternoon and eating them that
night. Sorry, can't do that any more.
Who else will be at Philmont between July 26 and August 6?
