I handled most of this in the long letter I sent earlier, but realized I
hand't covered all the questions. Sorry.

>He was wondering : if there was any electricity?
Not at The Cow

>how do days-off REALLY work?
Mostly covered in previous email

>do I need to bring personal cooking gear?
Nope. Staffed camps have all the stuff you will need for normal cooking. I
have never actually known a Staffer to cook backpacking style while on days
off, but if so , bring your own.

>should I bring a tent?
For daily use, no; if you plan on backpacking on days off, maybe; most
Staffers just crash on the porch at the next Staff camp if the hike

>can I receive mailed packages in the back country?
Oh yeah. If Mom sends cookies your fellow Staffers will love you. Your
employment packet will have the correct address. But it used to be
something like this:

Your Name
Den Cow
Philmont Scout Ranch
Cimarron NM 87714

As I recall the USPS got uppity about needing more detail in the Philmont
Scout Ranch part.

>If any of you have worked in the back country and especially if you
>have worked at Dean Cow, he would appreciate hearing from you. You
>can contact him directly at kramerj@grinnell.edu.
I will see if I can find anyone the worked at The Cow and pass this along to
them for more Rock Jock specific info.

PS I am still giggling over a rock climber from Iowa
