In 2001 I carried a small Minolta 35 point and shoot (don't remember the
model and it has since disappeared). Mostly used 200 film. Took around
10 rolls of 36 per. Put in two new AA lithium batteries at the start
and did not carry spares as they would last for twice that many
pictures. Had the developer put the pictures on a CD and made copies
for everyone. Pictures were great (not as good as my SLR, but the small
quality difference is not worth the weight).
