I second Al's comments about the Casa del Gavilan. It was a wonderful
place to stay during our visit in 2000, and we would enthusiastically
recommended it to others. It is literally surrounded by Philmont -- the
next best thing to staying overnight at the Ranch. I'm not affiliated with
the Casa, just a satisfied former guest.
