We let the boys select the crew leader with no input
from the adults. "Crew leader for a day" doesn't
sound like a very good idea to me, and I don't know
what we would have done if the boys proposed it,
however I suspect we would have let them make the
decision and go with it. We tend not to interfere
with the boy's decisions unless there is a safety
issue involved.
