Our troop arrived with 2 or 3 active feuds last summer.It was made up of
graduated eagles,some regular and some outsiders.
They managed fine. They were all in good shape including the adults which
may have made a difference and had good skills and experience with
backpacking.
So, it may not be so bad. Philmont doesn't have to be overprepared for. You
can learn as you go. It will still be fun.
