I know that everyone suggests avoiding down bags but I am curious if
there are still those out there that use down. How about hybrids?
partially down and partially synthetic?
I found what I considered to be the perfect bag, 30 degree taper with a
drawstring top that could be 'mummy-ized' into a hood if you needed it.
I sleep warm so the rating isn't an issue. The bag only weighs a little
over 3 lbs and packs down to about 6" x 10" BUT it's 75% down and 25%
synthetic. I would be MORE than happy to buy a fully synthetic bag if
it wasn't outrageously priced (this bag would run a little over $100)
and was the same size. I move around a lot when I sleep and sweat a LOT
if I sleep on my back so I need a bag I can roll around in a little.
Any thoughts??
Thanks!!
