Now I'm getting really confused. (so what else is new)

What tent are you talking about? The posters here have been saying the
Philtent weighs six and one half pounds, and apparently the official
Philmont publications say that as well. Are you talking about a philtent?
Does that mean the weight being quoted has been wrong? Also, everyone has
been saying the Philtent takes 14 stakes, so your 10 is different as well.
I'm confused.
If referring to the Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight I mentioned, that is
about the right weight, though I didn't say anything in my post about its
weight.

That is strictly a one person, and is of limited use here in So. Cal.
because of the scarcity of trees. Also, it really is hard on the trees. Of
course, my son says the Clip Flashlight is strictly one person :-),
definitely a tent for spooning :-).

Looking at the recently listed photos of the Philtent, I don't see how you
can erect it with 2, and everyone has been saying 14 is recommended.
If the Sierra Designs, then you agree with me and just misread my mail.
Can't see how you can put that up with two, however. I could manage with
four if I really had to, otherwise it would fall down with less.
Stop confusing me, I have a hard enough time getting through my day without
this :-)
