Saw this for the first time when a Canadian dad cooked scrambled eggs in a turkey bag up in the Sespe back in '97. Off 'n on been using it, simple things first (oatmeal, cocoa, sauces, etc.) We did this at Philmont last year, after practicing on training hikes with leftover Philmont meals. Worked quite well. Our slightly improved process (recommended by our Ranger) was to double-bag so that we controlled any spills. The second bag, though slightly smellable, was retained for use at the next meal. We also had great fun licking the bags clean as a small contest at the end of the day. Get the freezer-type, they lasted forever. - Robig
