We were also on the trail at the same time and were camping at
Hunting Lodge when we got the instructions from staff to evacuate.
One of my most vivid memories of that evacuation hike that night
was passing by a trail camp in the dark and hearing a staff member
from basecamp calling out a crew number trying to find it to give it
instructions to evacuate. AND HEARING NO RESPONSE BACK
FROM THE CREW.
