That's a really fine thing to do, and I can tell you as a base camp staffer
that it's very much appreciated. The logistics staff in particular, and
base camp staffers in general, don't get too many thanks. They do necessary
but unglamorous jobs which play a huge role in the quality of your
experience at Philmont, and of course many of the staff in base camp look
forward to getting a job as a ranger or in the backcountry the next summer.
A kind word can really make a staffer's day.
