I'm investigating having patches made instead of silk screening. The
cost is not that much different if you have sufficient quantities and
will be more lasting. I'd like a shape that that will allow sewing on
the sleeve, uniform pocket patch and perhaps even on a cap if they sew
desire! (pun intended). The crew members could even order a few extras
for trading and keepsakes.
I was thinking of a 2.5 inch circle as it could also fit on a cap. But
I'm interested if others have done this and might suggest other shapes
and or options. Also, are such patches fodder for trading at base camp
or on the trail?
