Another great little camera item. I have a tripod that is about 5 inches long with flexible legs. It is the best thing to have in the field as it is small and can be propped on just about anything and easily leveled. Will work great for the group photos... No one gets left out. Ritz Camera's sell these for under $4.00.

I took a Fuji Fine Pix A303 last year and it worked great. Features that influenced me to take this were light 5 oz., uses AA batteries, uses small memory cards, price $200. Would recommend this. I took the pictures when we returned and made a CD for everyone and also uploaded them to snapfish.com. Everyone could then go in and order prints of the pictures they wanted. You can see some of the photos on our troop website, www.troop718.org in the Philmont section.
Would recommend you go digital and take into account the battery type since you will not have any way to recharge them easily.
