You never know...Generally, items like film, batteries, postcards and stamps
are available at backcounty trading posts (located adjacent to commissaries,
where you pick up food). They also have some souvenier-type stuff,
replacement gear and a limited selection of snack foods (no candy). If you
are looking for a "hard-to-find" type of battery, don't expect to find it in
the trading posts. Also, they often run out of certain items - it depends
on how long it's been since the last resupply. It is not uncommon for them
not have postcard stamps, AA batteries, etc. Plan ahead and make sure you
bring enough w/ you on the trail.
