For more information re: ordering PhilFood, see
http://www.philstaff.com/phtrfo.html. I had an email just yesterday and
they are running low on inventory available for sale in this manner.
After the current supply is depleted, sales will cease until September -
gotta concentrate on getting food ready for the crews....

You can order meals from Philmont. That way you can actually practice
with the same foods that you will be getting there.

Dear Philmont Pholks,
As our expedition crews continues training for our big event this
summer, we want to try the turkey bag process which we learned here.
As observed from this list, the Philmont dinners appear to need only
rehydration and using the turkey bag seems like a great idea. Towards
the effort of simulating the experience prior to Philmont, does anyone
have menu suggestions for one pot meals that are commercially available
(other than the pre-packaged dehydrated food which is prohibitively
expensive)? We often make one-pot meals which require more cooking than
simple rehydrating so your suggestions are appreciated. I thought about
pasta, but that requires cooking not just rehydrating. Please help.
Thank you,
