I purchased a bottle of Polar Pure for our training hikes. I also had a
bottle leak. Fortunately, like you, we had it in a double plastic bag. Upon
further investigation of the cap, I noticed that in the top of the cap was a
cardboard-like seal, or cover or ?. I removed that with a knife and tried to
reseal the bottle again. Though I still keep it in a bag, I have not had a leak
since.
