It doesn't matter whether you store the polar pure wet or dry. You need to keep
the bottles out of the direct sunlight and protected from temperature extremes
i.e. put them in the closet with your camping gear. When I know that I am not
going to be using the bottles for a long period of time, I try and make sure
that
they are dry, this prevents accidental spillage ( which will stain) if someone
opens them to see what is inside.

By the way, referring to a previos post on how to carry them to prevent
spillage. We always double bag, put them in an outside pocket, stored upright,
much like a
fuel bottle. I also hav found some plastic wide mouth bottles that I can slip
the polar pure bottles in. This is an improvement, just beware that the stored
bottle
could be wet if it leaks and thus you could spill drops on stuff as you remove
it.

Enjoy!
