There are no rental car agencies in Cimarron, Raton, or anywhere closeby.
Shuttles run everyday from Philmont to Albuquerque and Colorado Springs/
Denver, but they are arranged by the individual contigents/ crews, so there
isn't a set schedule. I don't think Philmont plays a role in coordinating
these runs, but they can give you phone numbers for the major shuttle
companies. Keep in mind that it is a 4-5 hour ride to either Albuquerque or
Colorado Springs/ Denver.
