We will spend 2 days at Cimarroncito for a lay over. From there, we will travel to Tooth Ridge camp for our final evening on the trail. Someone said water is not very available on that segment. Can anyone confirm, and what would you suggest in the way quantity. Obviously, no one wants to carry a 1 or 2 gallon water jug on a 10 miler if not absolutely necessary. On the other hand, we need to make sure we have enough water for our day off the ridge and into base camp.
Additionally, any thoughts of using treeking poles? Are there many hikers with poles or hiking staffs? I'm in good shape, but at 44, my knees are a bit more sensitive to constant stress. Thanks for any input.
