We use a lightweight dining fly from Campmor on our troop pretrek
backpacking trips. However, we always opt for the Philmont dining fly to use
at Philmont. It is normally 2 ft wider than the normal lightweight dining
flys you can buy. While it is a little bit heavier, it will also be less
likely to tear with the winds and the afternoon rains. In my opinion it is
better for eleven days on the trail.

Subject: [Philmont]: Dining flies.
> Does anyone have a recommendation on a dining fly/tarp to purchase, rather
than use the ones provided by Philmont? Trekking in 67 days (but who's
counting?).
