The best part IMO of the campfire at Uracca is the ghost stories at the
end. Staying would make it a *very* long day if you still have to go
back to Toothache Springs. Having come up the trail from Toothache
Springs to Uracca in the daytime, I would definitely *not* recommend
doing it at night. Especially when you are still "adjusting" to the
rigors of Philmont.
As to the other questions, no experience so I can't help. Although the
trail from Comanche Pass to Cyphers is very nice, but we were going the
other way.
