There are a bunch of us that have taken co-ed crews to Philmont and it simply
wasn't a problem. It is about mutual respect and understanding. When it
came time to change into sleep clothes, folks by sex and age group, i.e. male
youth, female youth, male adults, female adults, would simply find an isolated
place away from the campsite and change into sleep clothes. Typically, it was
dusk or early morning when the changing was done, so it wasn't a big deal.
Everyone understood why we were doing what we were doing.
