until AFTER the purification period is complete (one hour, usually). YIS.

It's my understanding that you shouldn't add the vitamin C (or anything
eklse, for that matter) until after the Polar Pure has done it's job
killing
the bugs. I don't know the exact chemistry, but apparently the vitamin C
will "lock up" the iodine in the Polar Pure and render it pretty much
useless.
