I concur with Wally on his below statement. Sugar will neutralize what
iodine is supposed to do. Follow the directions on the Polar Pure bottle
first. If you must have it., then add your water flavoring after waiting
the allotted time. If the directions are followed on the Polar Pure bottle
(wait the prescribed time and the water temperature is high enough), your
water will be safe to drink. I didn't really notice the taste of iodine in
the water a couple hours after adding the Polar Pure. It tasted wet and
refreshing to me.
