We did 24 last year. No water issues at all other than one stop where they
over purified and it took on a sulfur taste. If I remember correctly, there
are no dry camps on 24.
You do need to have everyone in good shape as it is very up and down. Take
your conservation early in the trek, otherwise you'll be spreading hay in
the burned areas after backtracking a couple of miles to get to the work
area. Boys really liked the blacksmith and panning for gold. On Baldy, we
took off at the crack of dawn, all with empty packs and a single change of
clothes, and attacked the mountain from the hard side. We came back down by
way of Baldy Town, picked up our provisions (thus the empty packs) and took
showers (thus the change of clothes). Your navigator needs to be sharp as
there were several places where you could take a wrong turn. The end after
the Tooth Ridge seems longer than the Ridge with all the switchbacks.
Impatience gets the better of you and it tends to rain there. Don't pass up
a chance to go up on the Tooth of Time while you're up there though. We had
a low ceiling during the entire first half of the last day, but it cleared
just as we got to the Tooth. After we were up there about 1/2 hour, the
ceiling came creeping back in and we came down just in time so we were able
to see where we were going.

Anyone do Trek 24 last year?
We will do it this year and I would like some input.
Thanks in advance
