Re: [Philmont]: Special Dietary Needs (was menu 05)

My experience on special diet needs is that Philmont cannot provide other
than the menu they do for everyone. The crew must assume the responsibility
to bring the needed special food. Then Philmont will help by delivering it
to the designanated commissary pickup points along the trail as specified by
that crew's itinerary. Others may have more detailed experiences on how
this works, but staying home is not the answer.

Has anyone had the response from Philmont that they cannot accommodate
anyone with special dietary needs?

One of our crew member's parents called and whomever she spoke with actually
told her that they could not do anything for her and probably the scout
should just stay home!!!!!!

      Help!!!
