Our crews will be using 2 liter platypus/nalgene/whatever canteens (one
per member) for dry camps, above what they normally carry. That's a
little over 6 gallons for a 12 person crew and no one gets stuck with
20 pounds of water.

Just wondering how you carry twice the water for dry camps. do you use
the three 2.5 gallon containers you are supposed to bring, or do you use
3 liter platypus or nalgene canteens for each crew members. Seems like
carrying that 2.5 gallon container would be a real pain!
