[Philmont]: water for dry camps

I use MSR 4 liter Dromlite bags (available at Campmor) for extra water capacity. They are 30% lighter than the Dromedary bags , are made of nylon and pack flat when empty.

A 2 1\2 gal. collapsible jug would be a poor choice, in my experience. My 2001 Autumn Adventure crew took one of these. Fortunately, our guide volunteered to lug the whole thing (filled) from Shaefer's pass to Tooth Ridge Camp.
