Subject: [Philmont]: Carefree AZ?

Anyone have any suggestions on where to hike in Phoenix, more
specifically the north side around Cave Creek, or Carefree Az? I am
visiting relatives there and would like to take a couple small warm up,
stay in shape hikes there. We're training for Philmont, and don't want
to get too lazy this week? Thought there may be some scouts or scouters
from the area monitoring this thread. Thanks for any info.
