Jim hit the nail squarely on the head.
We shouldn't be solving problems before the Scouts understand there is one.
I'd keep these solutions in my hip pocket and only pull them out if the Scouts are struggling with a solution.
Some one on this list says, "it's for the Scouts" and "let them lead".

Yes, but it misses the point. You lose the opportunity. Group think, group problem solving, integrating the youth in how to figure out a tough problem. Sharing the responsibility of a tough day.
Sometimes solutions are not meant to be cheated, but resolved.
