This is shooting at a moving target. Definitely want to
contact Philmont directly to find out what they are
planning to do *this* year. As I recall, in 2005 we
saw MSR cannisters on the shelf. I've always been a bit
leary of using cannisters as it is so hard to guage how
much you need. Familiarity with quantities for white
gas I guess just makes me more comfortable :-)

Don't know the answer, but my guess is the airlines don't want
those on the plane anywhere. We always take the train, and
they have completely different rules for shipping that stuff.
I'm kinda surprised you choose to fly, being from Santa Rosa.
I wouldn't think to ship fuel, though, the TOTT trading post
and the fuel depot (or whatever they called where we got our
fuel) have reasonable prices.
