The problem with the Jet Boil is its size. The largest size pot is 1.5
liters which means you are going to need at least four going to handle just the
entree for a 12 person crew. I think they are great for individual
backpackers or small groups, but they really aren't the right size for a Philmont crew.
Plus, they use a micro-canister that is not sold in the Trading Post so
that means you would have to ship a sufficient quantity of them to cover your
entire trek out ahead of time.
