Mark,
I only carry one change of clothes - shorts w/liner, t-shirt, socks. I
also carry short and t-shirt to sleep in, so these could become trail
clothes in necessary. I carry a large zip lock bag that I use to wash
out one set of clothes, usually after I have worn them for two days. A
little water and camp suds in the zip lock and you have your own trail
washing machine. Usually, the clothes are dry by the next morning.

George Notes:
Now if I can just talk my son into carrying my share of the troop gear,
I'll be ready to go . . . .

When you figure that out let us know. I can convince my son to carry
all kinds of stuff for me. Then mom finds out and, well, you all know
about what happens when you make mamma bear angry by messing with her
cubs.
I am also learning a lot by this discussion. I am really new to the
lightweight stuff. How do you guys get by with so few underwear,
t-shirts and socks when it is wet or there is no place to wash your
clothes? I can wear the same pants for a week but have never been able
to do so with that first layer.
