The shakedowns will help you test drive your equipment and pare it
down or add to it. Dr. Bob and Coop Wright's information helped us
alot on our first trip last year. They are valuable resources. During
our shakedown with our Ranger at Philmont we were able to feel
comfortable with most of the stuff we had and found several things we
could do without. But, there were some things we wished we didn't
leave behind.
