IMHO, go with the various leather souvenir suggestions that have been made. I'd no sooner brand my boots than I would brand my backpack, rain suit or tent.

I'm not one for shooting holes in items of clothing, either. Maybe it's just me, raised by parents who lived through the Depression. I had no urge to do it at the Ranch in the early '70's, either.

Today's youth, on the other hand, are a different breed (or much the same-use interchangeably)
