I'd like to offer an alternative...
TOT Traders sells souvenir branding irons. Sure it’s not the same as being at the camps that offer the branding, but you can brand your boots or other items after you return from your trip without having to worry about destroying any of your gear before your trek completes.
As a side note, I have used that purchased branding iron to brand 20+ wooden arrowheads that I made in my shop one night. You can also have fun with the iron – imagine the expression from that gullible scout as you brand a steak that’s fresh off the grill and serve it to him/her…
