on our 2004 trek we had stopped for lunch at Clark's Fork. This was our
11th day, so the sight of another pilot biscuit was too much to bear. My
son said he thought they were so hard that he could probably brand them,
which he did. So the /s brand fits nicely on a pilot biscuit. mmmm good
cracker!
I branded the brim of my Columbia wide brim hat, which was nylon. The iron
stayed on a second to long and burned through on one part of the brand. If
I forget sunblock I end up with a strange mark on my forehead.
At black powder shooting the bandanas came out as targets. As big as they
were most of us still missed. for those who missed the staffer gathered up
the bandanas and laid them out in a nice flat pile, then draped tehm over
the muzzle , pointed down range and boom! Bandanas flying everywhere witha
nice gaping ehole in the middle. My son, at 19 still has his and wears it
proudly on hike. sadly, my bandana has no holes since I didn't put it there
myself.
Enjoy your trek
