[philmont] 13th crew member

Philmont was very kind in letting us take a 13th crew member with us last year. We emailed the request to Philmont Camping (pcamping@netbsa.org) and Fran forwarded the request to Mark. There did not seem to be any issues with the 13th person on the trail.

However, if this is a Council Contingent there are other things to consider, especially if reservations have already been made and tickets have been purchased. The contingent organizers would definitely have to be on board before you pursued it with Philmont.

BTW The only thing that was weird is that Philmont wouldn't give us the award for having a full crew (12 people) because we had 13.
