  60 lbs is pretty stout pack. Especially going up Trail Peak from Fowler Pass, or up Mt Phillips from Clear Creek.
   
   
   
  When we went in 2005, none of our crew's packs weighed over 50 pounds, with just under 5 days of food. I kept hearing advisors at some of the staffed camps say things like "I carried 75 pounds over the mountain today", to which I said, "Why?"
   
  This was the first ever trek for most of us. (And we went up Mount Phillips from Clear Creek).
