OK, then to revise the numbers. I would now say that if you are out of Base
camp with less than 35 lbs, you are definitley Ultra-Light. Not a lot of
room to get 5.5 lbs out of the load out below.
Tent, Sleeping bag, Sleep clothes, pad, stakes, pillow 6.5 Lbs.
Empty Backpack, stuff sacks 4.5 lbs
Clothes, fleece, raingear.... 4.5 lbs
Empty Nalgenes, Camelbak 1.5 lbs
Camera, toiletries, misc 1.5 lbs
That's 18.5 lbs without crew gear, water or food.
4 liters of Water 8 lbs
8 bags of Philfood - 10 lbs
Already up to 36.5 lbs without crew gear.
4 lbs of crew gear brings you to 40.5
