No problem on the one man tent. The thing is it needs to look like a tent. No bivy sacks or something that might look like a log. I have had 1 man tents on all of the trips except the first trip in 02. Since then we have brought all of own gear.

They just don't want you to show up with a bivy that looks like a log for a bear (real size as opposed to mini-bears) to roll over looking for crawly things. I was odd man out last trip and used a Serria Designs 2 man clip cd tent which was light enough for me to carry and really comfortable at night.
