Here is spme notes from Polar Pure tthat might be of interests <A HREF="http://aolsearch.aol.com/redir.adp?appname=MS&query=polar%20pure&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2epolarequipment%2ecom%2fpage3%2ehtml&datasource=Google&partner=Google&clickedItemRank=3&requestId=cns17810&component=websearch.google.http.tcl&searchType=MS">

I've always have been told (at Philmont) 1 hour, two capfuls, bleed
lid threads ect.
This I'd guess is an adapted standard and I'd say from personel
experience a safe one.
